Stanley Street links up D'Aguilar Street and the 'you-can't-miss' escalator at Cochrane Street; via Lan Kwai Fong, you would soon reach Queen's Road Central - the main roadway in Central. It is thus the major walkway providing easy accessibility between Mid-levels and Central. Restaurants spread along both banks of Stanley Street and is commonly referred as the 'Food-lover Heaven'. It is also the origin of local Tai Pai Tong (i.e. temporary food stalls), with its prime time having around 20-something operators. However, with arousing awareness on food hygiene, Tai Pai Tong can now be hardly found; those still running are definitely the best , attracting customers all-year-round. Running towards the end of Stanley Street, in order to have a 'bird-eye view' over the phenonmenal Tai Pai Tongs, escalator at Cochrane Street provides a place for photo-shooting.
